As part of our international development strategy, Bonfiglioli Riduttori has increased its presence in South America by setting up BONFIGLIOLI DO BRASIL.
Established in October 2008, the new subsidiary has grown out of a privileged relationship with our Brazilian distributor. Now that distributor has joined us to form a new company for the purpose of maximising sales and achieving greater penetration into Brazil’s large market for power transmission and motion control.
The Brazilian market offers major opportunities for growth and, after China and India, is the world’s third largest emerging economy. Brazil’s industry offers fertile ground for

Bonfiglioli products in the industrial and mobile sectors, with major roles being played by agro-industry, mining, infrastructure, sugar, textiles, ceramics and energy.
Bonfiglioli do Brasil’s current offices are located in the state of San Paolo, but new premises will open shortly. These will be better suited to the prospects for growth that the company expects in future.
The new company’s short term objective is to boost turnover from the present level of 12,000,000 dollars to 17,000,000 dollars by focusing on sectors likely to provide a rapid return on investment, while slowly building the more sophisticated relationships needed to succeed in the complex and structured areas of industry that form our strategic target for long term growth.
From an organisational point of view, Bonfiglioli do Brasil will start by assembling A, C, F and 300 series gearboxes and then move on to HDP\HDO series units. Pre-sales and after sales service will naturally be key to success. Bonfiglioli do Brasil aims to build synergic partnerships capable of creating real value for customers by helping to solve problems and optimise applications.
