The Bonfiglioli Group goes international
Bonfiglioli decided to expand exports in the early
1980s and set up a global sales network revolving around subsidiaries and
distributors in Spain, France, the UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa and
Germany.
The success and excellent reputation that Bonfiglioli
products soon enjoyed around the world quickly led to an increase in the number
of subsidiaries and their transformation into production and assembly plant
complete with their own pre-sales and after-sales service networks.
Bonfiglioli India was established in 1999 as another
step in the strategic process of internationalisation begun twenty years
previously. Today, this ultra-modern plant in Chennai (Madras) employs over 250
people and is becoming a bridgehead for expansion throughout Asia, a continent
with a vast sales potential and a constantly increasing user base.
Bonfiglioli has always understood the importance of
investing in and developing new technology. The Mosaico project is typical of
this. The Mosaico system that Bonfiglioli introduced in 2000 is one of the most
interesting e-commerce projects in Europe.
