梳理
分梳机的功能，就是将棉花、羊毛和合成纤维等原料加工成可纺成纱线的形态。该机器使用各种类型的罗拉和包线锡林，对纤维进行分离、清棉和对齐。 这个过程首先要将纤维喂入机器，通过各种罗拉进行开松和分离。分离后的纤维将穿过各种名为“分梳筒”的包线锡林，继续进行分离和对齐。纤维穿过分梳筒时，去除任何残留的杂质，形成排列整齐、干净的纤维网，又名生条。分梳机用于加工各种数量的纤维，即从小型生产到大型工业化生产。
