As a key speaker at the "India time to" be in conference staged by Milano Finanza in Milan on the 8th March, Sonia Bonfiglioli could draw on vast experience.
Bonfiglioli is one of the most significant Italian companies operating in India today. With nearly 20 years of history in the country, Bonfiglioli has become the most important player in its sector. As the round table showed, the greatest demand for Italian products in India comes from the power transmission sector.
In fact, these products account for some 47.1% of the total of imported mechanical goods. By manufacturing at three factories in India, and with a fourth due to open soon, Bonfiglioli is able to respond to demands from the local market rapidly and in total conformity to local standards. Maximum performance in all applications is therefore guaranteed. As Sonia Bonfiglioli pointed out, "These factories are to all intents and purposes Indian production plants whose production capacity and design capabilities integrate with our operations in the rest of the world". "India is a country with a great future, but companies need to understand and appreciate the country's diversity in order to seize the opportunities offered. Once the right approach has been found, however, success can be both lasting and rewarding," Sonia Bonfiglioli concluded.
