Driving Excellence: The Successful story of Bonfiglioli and Field Robotics

Bonfiglioli electrified solution for Field Robotics

FieldRobotics has a short but already dazzling history. Established in 2021 as a spin-off from the University of Bologna, its core team of professors and researchers work in the field of automation.

This Italian start-up’s main focus is on developing and manufacturing autonomous electric rovers and related equipment for use in agriculture. With agricultural applications the target of its research, FieldRobotics aims to provide advanced solutions that make operating in the field safer, optimise crop sustainability, reduce soil compaction and maximise the machines’ adaptability to the environment.

The company turned to Bonfiglioli for its knowledge of the agricultural component market, for its ability to integrate components and subsystems into machines and, not least, for its experience in product industrialisation and manufacturing.  FieldRobotics’ work in this area led to it collaborating with Bonfiglioli to create a tracked rover.
